Persona 5: Funkin’ in Starlight: A Musical Clash Between Boyfriend and Joker
Persona 5: Funkin’ in Starlight is an FNF mod directly inspired by the popular RPG Persona 5. The story begins when the Phantom Thieves receive an anonymous request on the Phan-Site. A worried father asks the group to change his daughter’s boyfriend’s heart due to suspicious behaviour and distorted desires.
Thinking it is a simple case, Joker decides to handle it alone. However, things quickly become complicated when he encounters a familiar face from the FNF community: Boyfriend. From there, a musical confrontation begins in a Persona-style setting filled with mystery, challenges, and iconic characters throughout the journey. The mod features 3 main songs, each representing a different stage of the encounter between the two characters.
Player role in the mod
Players control Boyfriend as he takes part in rap battles against Joker and Persona-themed challenges. The main objective is to hit the notes accurately to maintain an advantage in each song. As the mod progresses, note speed and complexity gradually increase, requiring strong rhythm control and quick reflexes. Completing all three songs allows players to fully experience the story the mod delivers.
